  I got this for a dive trip to Cozumel to help keep me warm. It did a great job the water was about 70 degrees and all I wore on dives were swimtrunks, a dive skin shirt, and this beanie and I was pretty warm on every dive, even night dives. The only problem I had with it was that it would trap air in the top of it from my regulator and if I cleared my mask underwater. The air kept my head warmer, but it messed with my buoyancy and would pull me up a bit when my tank got low, so I would have to flip over and let the air out, which let cold water in. Other than the problem with it trapping air it’s a great beanie for keeping warm when diving.

  I acquired the beanie because I was going to the Caribbean and would be snorkelling a lot. I am bald, so swimming for long periods without protection presents a big problem. A normal cap wouldn’t do. The beanie was ideal, easy to wear, light, with a strap so it won’t fall off while adjusting your snorkel and you don’t feel the sun burning on your head at all. As a bonus, everyone thought it looked really cool. The only hitch… I paid three times as much for the delivery than for the beanie itself… well it was worth it…
