Question by Gerardo: What’s the ideal length of the rope to waterski?
Is there any difference in difficulty between a short and a long rope? I just want to do some amateur waterski and kneeboard.

For waterskiing I like the rope to be much longer than kneeboarding/wakeboarding. Basically the short rope is for the lift off the wake via the kneeboards/wakeboards.
For skiing you want less of a swell to skim over as you cut. In otherwords a longer rope. With a long rope on a sharp turn you may stop briefly and sink a little before the tension returns.

The further away you are from the boat you are, the smaller the wake, which is ideal for watersking. We use a 50-60 foot when wakeboarding, and a 75 foot when watersking.
