Question by Jessica: Why did Wendy Williams do a segment on swimsuits for women over 30?

As a young lady who is pushing 30 I am offended by this. 30-35 is not old anymore and many women can still wear any swimsuit in that age range just fine. So the day before I turn 30 I can wear any swimsuit I want and the next day ‘poof’ I have cellulite, a gut, and a big wrinkly *** and I need a special swimsuit to look good?? I can understand swimsuits for women over 40 and 50, but not 30 something. At least not until 35. This is 2010, Wendy Williams and More Magazine are stuck in the 1950s. I even googled “swimsuits for women over 30″ and found nothing. Plenty of special ones for women over 40 and so on, but none over 30. These Gen X-ers and before need to learn that times have changed. Any wonder I plan on lying about my age once I hit that age. I see a lot of 30-35 year olds who look like they are still in their twenties and some even late teens.
What do you mean they are on borrowed time?? 30-35 isn’t old.

Maybe post a photo of yourself in a swimsuit? (Make sure you shave first please).

And you took offense at this? The world is indeed lucky to have been blessed with someone as gorgeous as you. So you’re 30 and gravity hasn’t affected you yet. I wonder how many children you have. That makes a difference. So does smoking, eating sugar and tanning. Those 30-35-year-olds who look like they’re in their 20′s? They’re on borrowed time, and why the hell anyone that age wants to look like she’s a teenager is beyond me. (I guess that means they’re covered with acne.) Go ahead and lie about your age, buttercup. You’re not fooling anybody. Mother Nature *always* has the last laugh.

Hey, that because the target audience for show are retarded. They market for people between 18-34. They don’t want anyone over 50 on television period unless it’s in a humiliating fashion. When you see older women they are peeing in a diaper, trying not to pee on themselves, in a wheelchair, they’ve fallen and can’t get up, they are going through the change, or need medicine for the various things their old broken down decrepit bodies are lacking. Now that’s offensive and it gets worse as time goes on because the target tv audience gets younger and younger. You say you can understand the ones for older women but face facts, to the television world you’re it. You don’t like but you were fine with it when you thought you were young. People consider women middle age at 25 and men middle age at 45-50 Women tend to have longer span but that doesn’t matter. Men are made to feel ageless while they put little tags on ladies. Cougars is suppose to mean older sexy woman but it doesn’t and here’s why. Cougar is used on women that are 5 or more years older than a man. Men don’t have titles when they are 5 years older than a woman. The trick is don’t end time for the other ladies just because you are younger and then the time will be for all womanhood.

I know right? I’m pushing 30 and I still get carded for 18 year old stuff like clubs and if I buy smokes for a friend. You couldn’t pick me out from the 19 and 20 year olds I have classes with. Age is just a number it’s all about taking care of yourself.
