Question by Shaun C: Why do most funeral parlours have clocks on the outside wall?
I don’t know if it’s the same elsewhere in the world, but in the UK, many funeral directors seem to have clocks installed on the outside wall of their buildings. Does anyone know why?

Because time waits for no-one, and it won’t wait for thee?

Well, I have never thought of this before but I have a theory.
When you get stressed, you smoke… You have to go outside to smoke… So you need a clock to know when the service starts.
Or because people wait out front to get out of the sad atmosphere of the funeral itself… or wait for friends/family to arrive?
It might be a result of so many people delaying the start of the services.

I think its just to remind everyone that your time is coming
that time is precious
to watch what you do with your time
because when your time is up your time is up, period
